The next couple to take the dance floor is Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater, dancing a cha cha to “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars.
Julianne Hough calls it the “best dance of the night” and Bruno Tonioli adds that he was “sparkling with star quality.” Carrie Ann Inaba agrees, commending his moves and magic. Len Goodman thinks he got a little ahead of the music at times but says it was terrific overall. They score a 31, the highest score of the evening thus far.

According to ABC, Jennings “was one of the top NFL running backs in 2015. In that breakout 2015 season, he started every game and set career highs in carries, rushing yards, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He was drafted in 2009 in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent four seasons, was signed by the Oakland Radars in 2013 for one season, and signed a four-year contract with the New York Giants in 2014. Jennings set a Big South Conference record while at Liberty with 3,633 yards, 42 touchdowns, and averaged 5.7 yards per carry.”
Now in its 24th season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
The current contestants include Olympic gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles with partner Sasha Farber, Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei with Val Chmerkovskiy, “Saturday Night Live” alum Chris Kattan with Witney Carson and this season’s Bachelor Nick Viall with new mom Peta Murgatroyd. Other stars who will be competing include Heather Morris, Bonner Bolton, David Ross, Mr. T, Erika Jayne, Rashad Jennings, Nancy Kerrigan and Charo.
“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
