Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd dance next, performing a foxtrot to “Mandy” by Barry Manilow. He hopes to catch up to his wife Vanessa, who scored higher than he did during the premiere, and compares himself to a tortoise.
Bruno Tonioli says it started well, but points out that something happened in the turns. Murgatroyd says that her dress became caught while dancing. Carrie Ann Inaba notices an improvement, but encourages Murgatroyd to stretch Lachey out a bit. Len Goodman calls it “lovely,” but feels as though the dance was too “fragile.” They score a 19 out of 30.
