Taking the stage next are Marilu Henner and Derek Hough, dancing the Viennese waltz to “Surprise Yourself” by Jack Garratt. Her most memorable year is 1978, the year she landed her role in “Taxi,” as well as the year she lost her mother.

Starting the judging off with a group hug, Carrie Ann Inaba says she “allowed herself to be great.” Julianne Hough says she’s happy for her given how much she has shown that she wants to be there. Bruno Tonioli simply describes her performance as “brilliant.” They score a 27.

Everyone has a story to tell in tonight’s Most Memorable Year episode. From love and loss, to tragedy and growth, Most Memorable Night dances paint a picture of the stars’ biggest moments in their life through dance. The stars choose their own song and perform a routine inspired by their biggest life event. Some of this year’s dances include winning gold at the Olympics, becoming a mother, marriage and overcoming the unexpected challenges that life throws at you.

Her books include the recent bestseller ‘Changing Normal: How I Helped My Husband Beat Cancer,’ ‘Total Memory Makeover,’ ‘Total Health Makeover,’ ‘Healthy Life Kitchen,’ ‘I Refuse to Raise a Brat’ and ‘By All Means Keep On Moving,’ and have changed the lives of millions in her quest to make the world a healthier place.”

Now in its 23rd season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

This season’s star-studded line-up includes Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez with Val Chmerkovskiy, actress Marilu Henner with Derek Hough, model Amber Rose with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte with Cheryl Burke, former NFL wide receiver Calvin Johnson Jr. with Lindsay Arnold, actress Maureen McCormick with Artem Chigvintsev, reality TV star Terra Jolé with Sasha Farber, country singer Jana Kramer with Gleb Savchenko, and IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe with Sharna Burgess. Jake T. Austin, Rick Perry, Vanilla Ice and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds were eliminated in the first few weeks of competition.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night starting at 8 p.m. on ABC.
