The next couple to take the ballroom dance floor is Marilu Henner and Derek Hough, performing a Charleston to “Never Forget You” by Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox featuring Addie Hamilton, inspired by the 1920s.

Bruno Tonioli calls her a “feisty flapper,” but says she missed a step at the end. Carrie Ann Inaba says something was lacking in the performance, explaining that she was tense and that she was out of sync with Derek. Len Goodman says she captured the 1920s vibe and Julianne Hough agrees. She acknowledges the mistake but applauds how well she keeps up with Derek, given her age. They score a 29.

It’s “Eras Night” and the dance floor is ready for a serious dose of nostalgia. The remaining couples will perform dance routines inspired by various decades to dance styles such as the Charleston, foxtrot and jitterbug. Head judge Len Goodman returns to the judging panel this evening. The first set of team dances also occurs tonight, with Team Past (James, Calvin, Ryan, Maureen) going head-to-head against Team Future (Marilu, Laurie, Terra, Jana). Who will come out on top? One couple will be eliminated at the end of tonight’s episode, leaving seven couples who will be preparing spooky performances for Halloween Week next Monday.
