Debbie Gibson and new pro Alan Bersten dance next, performing a foxtrot to Gibson’s song “Lost in Your Eyes.”

Bruno Tonioli says it was “lovely, dovey [and] dreamy” and calls out Gibson and Bersten’s chemistry. He adds that it was “lovingly performed.” He warns her, however, to watch her arms and keep the frame. They score a 17 out of 30.

Welcome to the shining silver season of “Dancing with the Stars”! On Monday night, ABC’s hit reality competition officially returns for its 25th season and the 13 couples are bringing the fierceness to the dance floor. The dances featured on tonight’s two-hour-long premiere episode include the salsa, foxtrot, tango and cha cha. Audiences will get their first look at the stars and will also catch a glimpse of a few familiar faces, including two returning, fan-favorite pros. Two couples will be sent home next week as part of a double elimination—one on Monday night and the other on Tuesday during a live results show.

According to ABC, Gibson is a singer-songwriter, actress and dancer. “A music prodigy, Gibson exploded on the Billboard Pop Charts at the tender age of 16 with the self-penned ‘Only in My Dreams.’ The ‘Original Pop Princess’ quickly became the youngest artist ever to write, produce and perform a No. 1 hit song, ‘Foolish Beat,’ and entered the ‘Guinness Book of World Records.’ To date, she is still the youngest female to hold that record. She has sold more than 16 million albums worldwide, performed for British Royalty and hosted ‘The American Music Awards,’ produced by friend and legend Dick Clark.”

The star-studded lineup for the 25th season of “Dancing with the Stars” includes former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens, Hamilton’s Jordan Fisher, “Shark Tank” investor Barbara Corcoran, “Pretty Little Liars” star Sasha Pieterse and “Property Brothers” co-host Drew Scott. Other stars include Victoria Arlen, Nikki Bella and Nick Lachey. Fan-favorite pros Mark Ballas and Cheryl Burke also return to the dance floor this season, along with hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews.

The judging panel features Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine which couples will go home and which ones will advance to compete for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
