David Ross and Lindsay Arnold perform next, dancing a Viennese waltz to“Forever Young” by Youth Group. His most memorable year is 2016, the year the Chicago Cubs won the World Series and the end of his baseball career. They dedicate the dance to family, his teammates and his fans.

Julianne Hough calls the dance beautiful and adds that he had infectious energy. Bruno Tonioli praises his vitality, while Carrie Ann Inaba says he is very uplifting. They all agree, however, that the dance was a bit jumpy. Len Goodman gives his feedback in baseball “language.” They score a 31.

Tonight, the stars will tell their stories. Most Memorable Year commemorates the celebrities’ biggest moments through dances, including foxtrot, cha cha, Viennese waltz and contemporary. The songs, which best tell their stories, are chosen by the celebrity. Memories will include Nick Viall’s engagement to Vanessa Grimaldi, Simone Biles winning gold and thanking her family, David Ross celebrating his World Series win and Bonner Bolton reliving his bull-riding accident. One couple will be eliminated next week.

According to ABC, Ross “is a two time World Series Champion, having won World Series titles in 2013 with the Boston Red Sox and with the Chicago Cubs in 2016. During his 15 year Major League career, he played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs. Recently retired, Ross now serves as a Special Assistant for the Chicago Cubs and also works as a TV Baseball Analyst for ESPN.” His book his set to be published in May 2017.

Now in its 24th season, “Dancing with the Stars” is hosted by Tom Bergeron and sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. The judging panel is composed of ballroom experts Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their scores, along with America’s votes, determine who gets to stay and who is sent home each week as couples vie for the coveted Mirrorball trophy.

The current contestants include Olympic gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles with partner Sasha Farber, Fifth Harmony’s Normani Kordei with Val Chmerkovskiy and this season’s Bachelor Nick Viall with new mom Peta Murgatroyd. Other stars who will be competing include Heather Morris, Bonner Bolton, David Ross, Mr. T, Erika Jayne, Rashad Jennings and Nancy Kerrigan.

“Dancing with the Stars” airs every Monday night at 8 p.m. on ABC.
