Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 0 The Chipotle Boorito fundraising event is returning for a fourth consecutive year. The popular Halloween fundraiser allows the restaurants fans to pick up a Burrito for just $3 on Halloween day. To participate in the fundraiser simply dress in costume and arrive at any Chipotle store from 5pm (local time) until closing on October 31. Chipotle restaurants across the US will offer $3 burritos, bowls, salads and tacos (and kids’ meals) for customers dressed in costume. The popular fast casual chain will donate proceeds up to $1 million to support the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. The Chipotle Boorito fundraiser has also added a new national costume contest. According to the company: “This year, Chipotle has also announced a national costume contest, wherein participants can upload a photo of themselves in costume at a Chipotle to Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #ChipotleBooritoContest — three grand prize winners will win $2,500 in the respective categories for “best group,” “scariest,” and “most creative,” while five runners-up will be chosen to receive free Chipotle catering for up to 20 people. This would be a fun pre trick-or-treating activity for the family!” The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation has contributed more than $2 million to “help fund initiatives that support sustainable agriculture, family farming, culinary education, and innovation that promotes better food.” The organization is a non-profit that was established by Chipotle Mexican Grill to continue and strengthen its philanthropic efforts. You can follow all of the fun on Twitter with the hashtag #ChipotleBooritoContest. Will you be dressing up in your Halloween costume to score a $3 Chipotle burrito and to help a worthwhile cause this Halloween?
