Bernie Sanders’s decision to purchase a third home isn’t sitting too well with some on social media. The Vermont senator purchased a $600,000 summer home in his own state. This is his third home.
According to Seven Days, the lakefront home is located in the Champlain Islands and will be used seasonally. Jane Sanders, Sanders’s wife, said in the Seven Days article that they’ve always traveled to the island for day trips. “We’ve been impressed with the North Hero community, eaten at the North Hero House and Shore Acres and have suggested them to friends who were looking for a beautiful place to stay or have dinner.”
Sanders and his wife also own a home on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C., as well as in Burlington’s New North End, according to the article. The former presidential candidate endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton last month.

Bernie Sanders just bought a 600k lake house. His 3rd house. Could he have been going along with it the whole time?

Hey @BernieSanders, how is your new house? I'm glad I didn't donate a penny to your lying ass. If I had, you'd be paying it back. Suckers!!

I was a Bernie Sanders supporter and I have no problem with him using the money he earned fairly to buy an expensive house.

.@BernieSanders Are you taking a mortgage interest deduction on the lakefront house you bought this week? Or on the other two homes you own?
— Lachlan Markay (@lachlan) August 10, 2016
Why are people so upset over Bernie Sanders buying that house. I'm sure he didn't pay cash.
