Amal Clooney has officially landed her first Vogue cover. The activist and human rights lawyer graces the cover of the magazine’s May issue—and social media is praising Vogue for featuring a woman with both beauty and brains as its cover star.

In an interview with the fashion and lifestyle magazine, Clooney talked about a variety of topics, from “her husband, George” and their twins Ella and Alexander to gun control and the Me Too movement. “I think because of the brave women who have come forward to tell their stories, the future workplace will be safer for my daughter than it was for people of my generation,” said of the viral movement. “We’re in a situation where a predator feels less safe and a professional woman feels more safe, and that’s where we need to be.”

Clooney was also photographed by Annie Leibovitz as part of the cover story. Leibovitz captured the accomplished attorney “working and lounging at her home in Sonning, England, looking chic as always in Rosetta Getty, Oscar de la Renta, and Johanna Ortiz,” according to the magazine’s slideshow. On the cover, Clooney dons a bright pink Alexander McQueen top and sparkly Cartier earrings.

Vogue’s May issue is out now.
