Watching police chases online sometimes make us wonder what these people are thinking. Not only are they dangerously weaving through traffic, but also the drivers don’t own supercars. The Ford Crown Victoria is known as a standard police cruiser in the U.S. This car packs a v8 that only produces 235hp. If you have a sports car that puts out more than 235hp than outrunning a police cruiser may seem possible for a short moment of time. However, over in Abu Dhabi things are a little different. Attempting to outrun some of their police cruisers is probably a terrible idea.

Abu Dhabi is known for having some of the fastest police cruisers in their fleet of vehicles. But, a new addition recently came that is not only unnecessary, but also incredibly rare. It’s called the Lykan Hypersport and it costs $3.4 million dollars being the third most expensive car ever made. This car may look familiar to you as it was featured in Furious 7 going through a skyscraper. This Hypersport is rare being one of seven examples planned.

The specs on this car are quite impressive and frankly kind of scary. In 2.8 seconds this car will go from 0 to 62mph, in addition to having a top speed of 240mph. A 3.7 liter twin turbo six-cylinder produces 770 hp and 708 pound-feet of torque. The chances of someone escaping a police chase are slim to none with these kinds of numbers. In the event of the Hypersport undergoing maintenance or any form of repair for the day, the Abu Dhabi police is equipped with other vehicles that will do a fine job in keeping up with any runner on the road. If you can think of the car they probably have it, or they will by next year. Other police fleet vehicles include an Audi R8, Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF and McLaren MP4-12C. No radar detector will save you from outrunning the Abu Dhabi police force.
