Halloween has gone form a tradition to scare off evil spirits and demons, to a children’s holiday for attempting to scare people, and collect candy from houses. Kids, unless they are shy, usually scream at the top of their lungs “Trick-or-Treat” when you open the door to give them candy.

Since this is a treat filled, carb-loaded, fattening time of year, if you include Thanksgiving and Christmas waiting in the wings, I believe a few treat recipes are in order.  Just remember, no matter how cute they are, do not hand these out to trick-or-treaters.  Safety is very important for the little ones, so it is best to hand out wrapped candy because of food allergies!

Here are 7 Halloween “treats” that you can make pretty easily in your own home!
