There are way too many strategies on the World Wide Web that is about getting your website at the top of search results. May it be for B2B Marketing or just for gaining Internet popularity, it is important that you should build up on the rankings of your chosen keywords so that you will be on the top spot of the results.
But let’s divert ourselves from the mainstream and let’s learn how to destroy your keyword rankings.
-
Pour on the keywords in ONE post
If you think of Google, Yahoo, or Bing as real human beings then they have their own limits when it comes to patience. So if you keep on repeating the same topic, with the same thought, with the same keywords over a hundred times, in ONE post, then do you really think that these search engines are going to stand for it? Probably not.

Automate the submission of backlinks
While automating backlink submission is an easy task (wherein you post to thousands of sites with a keyword and backlink) and can be done with a click of a mouse button, it is very tempting to just do it. Hey, what’s five or eight hours of work done in no more than 30 seconds right? Hey, what’s an easy task if Google will just sanction your site for irrelevant backlinks, right?

Can’t think of an idea for your content? Heck, just copy!
Maaaan, writing a 500-word article will take an hour to finish! Not including the research that needs to be done. Hey, why don’t I just copy from other blogs and post my keywords? That’ll be way easier! – is what you’re probably thinking. Think about it, there are a lot of people steal money because it’s a surefire way to get to easy street. And where do you think these people turn up after they’re caught? That’s right.

Here’s a blog, I’ll just post a random comment leaving the link to my site…
There are thousands, if not millions of blogs within the Internet. You probably think that posting a random comment with a link back to your website is OK right? Google Penguin says otherwise.

A website that offers free traffic! COOL!
These websites allow you to gain hundreds and even thousands of free traffic to your website. However, these “visitors” only stay for a few seconds; plus most of the time they leave your site from the main page. See that bounce rate in your Google Analytics? The one that says bounce rate with a percentage on it? Yup; now watch it skyrocket like there’s no tomorrow.
Destroying search engine ranking for your keywords is easy as 1-2-3 (or in this case 1-2-3-4-5). Building up your desired rank, however, takes months to accomplish. Although it is hard work, the benefits are very, well, beneficial. So if you want your keywords to rank, may it be appointment setting, floral design, or whatever keyword you choose, then you better start cracking.
This is a fantastic post – so many people try to shortcut seo and think there is a quick fix. Many use automated software packages thinking they are stealing the march on their competition but in the long run they are doomed. Build your website and seo work on solid concrete and plan for the long term not the short term. It does as you quite rightly say involve a hell of a lot of serious hard work, however if you do so then the rewards are for all to see.
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Good post – thanks for sharing – The points you have above are a great pointer to people who don’t have much of a clue were to start when it comes to owning a website and they are also idiot proof enough enough for the people too.
