Though summer has just begun and Americans are heading to beaches and barbeques, San Diego got some rare snowfall on Monday.
The Armed Services YMCA of San Diego brought Christmas to hundreds military families who were unable to spend the holiday together this past December. Service men and women were able to recreate the holiday spirit with carols, falling snow, holiday pajamas- and even an off-season visit from Santa Claus!
Prior to the jolly event, the ASYMCA released information online about sponsorship and the many benefits of being a part of the 7th annual program. Along with the inevitable good PR in sponsoring a military family event, the ASYMCA included a list of media coverage from the event last year, including newscasts from eight local television stations.
