How Pinteresting… Guided Search; A New Way to Find What You’re Looking For

Pinterest is a great social network and one which I have used extensively since day one. I am excited to see how Pinterest has improved since launching just over four years ago. One of their latest updates include their Guided Search and how Pinterest can help you answer one of your questions that has more than one answer.

Where do you want to go on Holiday? If you were to Google that, you would come to endless forums and not actually make a decision. Look inside of Pinterest and with so many amazing possibilities, the most appealing image will stand out to you almost immediately.

Guided Search has been introduced to give users the chance to explore. It doesn’t matter if you know what you want or just browsing. The best ideas are just a few clicks away with over 750 million boards and 30 billion pins available to you in a matter of seconds. Pinterest have uploaded a video to their official YouTube Channel introducing Guided Search, which you can see here.

Regardless of what you search inside of Pinterest, you will be able to sift through all ideas posted from other Pinners, allowing you to tap any image that looks interesting; steering you in the right direction.

Pinterest has introduced these guides to get users to where they want to go but still giving a little leeway for unpredictability. Holiday ideas along with Wedding inspiration are two of the most searched terms inside of Pinterest – you might just find exactly what you are looking for with Pinterest’s new Guided Search!

This is being rolled out on Mobile first, then will available on the web around the world. Search has changed for the better allowing brands to tell their story and build entertaining content since the launch of Google Panda 4.0 and Pinterest has followed suit.
