OpenSea, the digital market platform for crypto and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has announced that it will allow crypto users to list and purchase bulk digital collectible items in a single flow.
In an October 5 blog post, OpenSea confirmed that its digital assets marketplace would allow users to process bulk digital items from the same blockchain in a single transaction. OpenSea will allow users to add up to 30 items to their cart.
We’re officially live with bulk listing and buying!
You can now list and buy up to 30 items in a single flow on OpenSea.
Let’s walk through what this experience looks like in this— OpenSea (@opensea) October 5, 2022
OpenSea To Allow Over 30 NFT Listings
According to OpenSea, the new functionality will reduce the cost associated with gas fees and make the transaction process more convenient and streamlined. In a subsequent tweet, the company explained:
“In your collected items tab you can access bulk listings by clicking on the ‘+’ symbol when you hover over an item card or by clicking ‘list for sale’ in the ‘More Options’ drop-down. You’ll then be able to select up to 30 items to list at once.”
OpenSea Aims To Restore Its Market Health
It is worth noting that OpenSea has plummeted drastically for five consecutive months in its platform’s daily and monthly transactions. According to DappRadar, the marketplace went from processing $405.75 million transactions on May 1 to only processing $5 million worth of NFT transactions on August 28.
In that context, the digital assets marketplace has launched several partnerships and innovations on its platform to restore its market health in the past few weeks. In September, OpenSea partnered with Warner Music Group to allow music artists to build and extend their music fanbase in the web3 community.
Last week, OpenSea NFT marketplace expanded its service offering to include NFT projects built on Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution Optimism. Moreover, OpenSea recently announced plans to support Arbitrum, allowing users to buy and sell NFTs minted on Ethereum roll-up.
OpenSea anticipates the recent innovations, including its new functionality allowing bulk NFT listing and purchases on the marketplace, will push back its market health to a positive trajectory moving forward.
