Formula One ‘F1’ racing team Red Bull Racing has teamed up with cryptocurrency exchange Bybit and a Japanese digital assets incubation studio Chiru Labs to launch a new non-fungible token collection.
In a November 17 press release, the speed motor racing team confirmed its partnership with financial services provider Bybit and Chiru Labs, the incubation firm and parent company for the Azuki NFT collection, to launch a new NFT collection on Tezos blockchain.
Red Bull Racing Launches New NFTs
Red Bull Racing has launched a new NFT collection to end its successful Formula One season in style. The new NFT collection, “Lei the Lighting Azuki,” will feature racing cars of popular drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez in their final race in Abu Dhabi.
Red Bull Racing team inked its partnership deal with cryptocurrency exchange Bybit in February 2022. Under the new NFT project, the racing team will showcase the exchange’s logo in the new NFTs.
The new ‘Lei the Lighting Azuki NFT’ will feature a limited edition of 10,000 anime-inspired Azuki NFT collections. While commenting about the new NFT project, Christian Horner, the team principal at Red Bull Racing, remarked:
“In many ways, it’s been an eye opener for us to the vast opportunities Web3 has to offer. This unique project is the perfect combination of creativity, innovation, and passion which matches our ethos on the track.”
Other Formula One’s NFT Projects
Formula One has become a key player in the crypto space. In June 2021, the racing league inked a new sponsorship deal with Crypto.com to become official crypto and NFT partner. Earlier this year, Its McLaren racing team selected OKX crypto exchange as its main sponsor.
In the meantime, the new Red Bull Racing’s ‘Lei the Lighting Azuki’ NFTs are currently listed on OpenSea. Red Bull Racing has created the ‘Lei the Lightning Azuki’ NFTs based on Azuki # 8494. The new NFT collection is available on the Tezos blockchain-powered Bybit NFT marketplace.
