Because I’m in the mobile marketing industry, I’m always on the lookout for new and unique ways to do things.
I’m always amazed at how people are using mobile marketing to further their business. I’ve collected a bunch of examples that I’ll share with you over time. Today, I’m going to show you three examples from both big and small companies… who knows maybe you can do something similar in your business.
Take for example a recent PGA EVENT.
Yes, I found a mobile marketing sign at a Professional Golf Association Event. Just look at this picture I took.
As you can see the PGA marketing partner Master Card was asking people to sign up for their marketing list. Their giveaway – a chance to get upgraded tickets!
Why are they doing it?
To capture the phone number of high end customers at golf events.
I’m sure after you sign up, you’ll end up getting a few marketing messages too!
But Master Card isn’t the only one doing this…
A few days later I was wondering through a big home and garden show here in Phoenix. There at the event, I found people collecting phone numbers for their mobile marketing efforts.
If you “Joined the Club”, you got a chance to win a Pampered Chef shopping spree. You get five extra entries and access to their recipes just by joining their loyalty club and signing up by text.
I stood for five minutes near the table and watched as 7 people pulled out their phones and opted into the list. Over the course of one hour, I have no doubt they collected hundreds of contact names… all prospects for their business.
The final example today, is a message on a van.
It’s a local Jiu-Jitsu club who’s looking for new customers.

They’ve done a great job promoting themselves… and it shows you mobile marketing works for not only the local store… but for a national organization like Master Card.
