With all of the millions of responsibilities that you have, it can be more than difficult to keep track of the multitude of things you have to take care of. Thankfully, there’s a way to keep yourself organized and make sure that you stay on top of all of your tasks: task management.

Task management is an approach that uses recording, assigning, and organizing tasks that need to be completed. This process ensures that all aspects of a task are completed and helps to ensure productivity, smooth operations, and success.

Task management certainly makes the process of completing tasks more efficient, and thanks to modern technology, using task management tools has gotten a whole lot easier. Imagine being able to juggle all of your responsibilities — see what has to be done, organize tasks, assign roles to complete a task, and check up on the status of said task — right from your smartphone. Ah, the beauty of technology.

There are several task management apps available; below are some of our favorites.

Wunderlist

According to App Storm, Wunderlist is the “To-Do List App to Beat.” While it features a beautiful interface and is super easy to use, this one comes with an affordable price tag and can be used across a wide range of platforms. Just download this app to all of your devices — iPhone, iPad, desktop computer, etc. — and you can keep your tasks synced between all of them. The seamless sync-ability of Wunderlist is what makes it so appealing.

Flow

Flow doesn’t boast huge bells and whistles, but what it does feature is a super simple, easy-to-use design, which makes it extremely appealing. It’s neat, organized, and not the least bit confusing. From the moment you open this app, you’ll be drawn in by its visual aesthetic. It’s easy to access all the features. The downside? It can sometimes be a little bit slow, and isn’t usable on a wide range of devices. Currently, it’s designed for use on the iPhone only, though the Mac app is in beta.

MindManager

This is another pretty simple and straightforward task management app for iOS. Plus, we created it, so we kind of love it. It’s ideal for laying out and keeping track of everyday tasks. This is a business-grade tool, which means it’s aimed at corporations. You can create nodes of data, link them together, and export everything that you do to a PDF. It’s basic, it’s quick, and it’s easy to work with.

Pocket Information Pro

If you’re looking for super fast access to all your tasks, download Pocket Information Pro. This iOS app can be synced with Evernote and Google, making it really easy to plan all aspects of each and every day. TaskPaper

If it’s simplicity you want, TaskPaper is the app for you. This is perhaps the simplest iOS app of its kind. It’s much like having a traditional pen and paper, only neater and easier to keep track of. Write out what you have to do, and cross off tasks as you complete them. Oh, and TaskPaper can also be synced to other programs, like DropBox.

Thanks to these exceptional apps, staying on top of the hustle and bustle of your everyday life is a whole lot easier. Sorry, post-its.
