Pink says “the causes [of free agency] identified in the book haven’t disappeared,” but rather have “intensified.” Pink believes there’s been some improvement in the infrastructure for the free agent. He cites a “big change” in our abilities to collaborate, saying, “It’s become much easier for people in far-flung locales to work together on projects.”
It has become much easier for people in far-flung locales to work together on projects. We are talking about the true definition of collaboration. You can see this intesity with the launch of sites like 99Designs and Hatchwise.
This is not only being discovered in the small business world… but also in the corporate world. Digitized collaboration has become a must have for younger (and even older) employees in the job market.
Social media and the Internet have enhanced the global more and changed the traditional business model forever. With that change, comes more competition and a more difficult job market.
