When I first started getting interested in marketing, and began to put in the time to reading what others were doing or saying that might have an impact on where marketing goes in the future, one name stood out. Seth Godin has been someone that I’ve always looked to as somewhat of a mentor, even if it was only through daily blog posts and yearly books that I consumed as quickly as I could.

Here, I’d like to share with you a presentation he did at a TED Conference back in 2007. It’s a great discussion of what businesses can, and should be doing in order to make them stand out in a crowded marketplace. And it’s certainly worth your time.
