Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 0 LinkedIn is no longer just a career development tool. More than three million companies are leveraging LinkedIn to promote content and build relationships. With Showcase Pages, companies can highlight specific aspects to target specific audiences. LinkedIn continues to improve its company pages to be a better home for content marketing. In the past year, LinkedIn acquired two content-related companies: Pulse (that replaced LinkedIn Today) and SlideShare. LinkedIn continues to be a source of information for users, and companies now have even more capabilities to reach their target audience. Page dedicated to each aspect of your business Showcase Pages act as a sub-section to your main company page. As seen in the image below, Microsoft has several Showcase Pages set up that are under its main Microsoft company page. Each Showcase Page has its own set of followers and content updates. This provides the opportunity for LinkedIn users to follow one specific page or all of them. For example, if you’re interested in learning more about Microsoft’s Office products, then you can choose to follow the “Office” Showcase Page where you will receive specific content around that product. Target your buyer personas Buyer personas are critical to the success of a company’s content marketing efforts and help marketers understand the roles and responsibilities of people in their target market. Showcase Pages allow companies to target these buyer personas with relevant content—providing the opportunity to be a thought leader in that area. Companies can add up to 10 showcase pages (for free!) to give more detail about certain products (like Microsoft Dynamics), services or industry verticals. Marketers can utilize this feature in order to reach their targeted buyer personas and increase engagement with their followers. Creating a LinkedIn Showcase Page Adding Showcase Pages is fairly simple on LinkedIn. If you are the administrator for any company page, you can go to the drop down menu next to the edit button and select “create a Showcase Page.” LinkedIn will then walk you through the steps to create the page. Once it is set up, you can then post updates specific to that page. Many large corporations like Microsoft and Adobe are already taking advantage of Showcase Pages, and soon many more businesses will begin to utilize them as well. Marketers can use LinkedIn not only as a recruiting tool for finding prospective employees, but also as a business development tool through content marketing.
