In the past month, this little tip has really set the stage for some tremendous growth.
Act Like a Boss – This particular step is really the most critical. It is amazing to me how many top executives do not have clear-cut plans for carrying out business processes or plans.
In my case, as the summer began there was a little apathy. People were looking forward to vacations and starting to think that things are really not going to change anytime soon. That is when it hit me. The team of people I work with needed a new focus and a new direction. In our case, we were waiting on other things to happen like new systems to be developed or programs to be finalized.
Waiting…Waiting…Waiting
Why?
Nothing was happening….
It was time to start taking action…People were looking for direction and I felt it was time to take on some new projects.
We met on two special occasions to determine what needs were most pressing and where we could make the biggest impact.
Once that was established, everyone was assigned a task…
Now, we are in the thick of the project and people are excited about the potential about meeting deadlines and actually achieving results that will have a dramatic affect on the company.
My point here is stop waiting and start doing…. See first-hand how someone discovered this same technique and is trying to grow their business. I am sure a number of you have more skills and knowledge than this individual but sometimes we need a wakeup call. This video reinforced what I experienced earlier this summer.
