How many blog posts have you read regarding content marketing that talk about writing something of value for your readers and writing with quality. Well, yesterday I touched on this topic, but I left out one major contributing factor to writing quality content. That word is PASSION!!
You could have the most informational blog post and still wonder why no one is reading your content. You need to develop a way to write with authority and passion. I was reminded of this term last night. I had the good fortune to hear one of the best presenters I have heard in a long time, he is Mitch Holthus, Voice of the Chiefs. This guy had one of the most memorable presentations that I have ever hear. He tied in Agriculture in celebration of National Ag Day, (Today, March 25, 2014) with sports: Creighton and Nebraska Basketball.
The best part about his presentation was his passion for what he believed in. His message was very simple, but it came across with such power and conviction. It was simply awesome.
As a takeaway, I found myself thinking that I need more of a fire in the way I talk about day-to-day activities, my interactions with clients and co-workers. I need to continue to work hard to developing relationships and focus on improvement each and everyday. As a marketer, both online and offline I need to make sure I come across with ENTHUSIASM for what I am doing.
Future – Need to build a stronger voice!
Right now, social media is headed in the tank. Too many people just regurgitate old news or current news. Who wants to read this kind of garbage? Not me – I am extremely tired of it.
It really is time to add some real “value”! It starts with sharing from the heart.
In the past few weeks, I have slowly been working at this whole approach and I have found a much stronger following which is really exciting. It’s not about keywords or worrying about some special SEO techniques. If you speak with P-A-S-S-I-O-N, people will want to connect with you.
So in finishing…
Stick to a simple message and share it with passion!
Don’t stop there, try to make it a part of your persona in everything you do.
