From 1956 to 2010 the amount of J.D. and LL.B. degrees that were earned by women, as a proportion of all J.D. and LL.B. degrees earned, increased by 44%. This is a large gain, but there is still much opportunity for narrowing the disparities between men and women in the legal industry. In order to draw attention to the positive gains and raise awareness around the opportunities for bridging the gender gap in the legal industry Washington University’s Online Master of Legal Studies created the following infographic.
