As the holiday season approaches, companies and marketers are gearing up and preparing for fresh and innovative ways to reach their customers. Because both the social landscape (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest) and social consumer’s behavior (product discovery and social sharing) have evolved within the last year, marketers are attempting to create strategies and tactics to capitalize on this behavior. With the evolution of social landscapes, businesses need to implement social strategies for this upcoming holiday season in order to leverage the power inherent in social media. Furthermore, sites without a social experience onsite stand to lose market share or customer attention to other sites with deeper engagement and social user experiences.
