Let’s face it, kids grow up fast. We do all we can to capture the precious moments, but they don’t always show up on film like we imagined. But now, thanks to mobile photography, every parent can capture memories that will last a lifetime.
There’s more to a picture than just clicking the shutter button. Taking lighting and background into consideration, all while maintaining a steady hand isn’t always easy. Sunset and sunrise are optimal camera phone lighting conditions, as they can capture great colors and textures. Avoid direct sunlight if you can, and opt for overcast lighting to make subjects appear happier and more attractive. Distracting backgrounds can take away the “point” of a photograph. When the background is cluttered, simply move closer toward your subject to focus the camera off the extra details and bring your baby into clearer view.
