While many will see November and December as the ramped up holiday sales season, according to a new visual report put out by the folks at Mint, some shoppers have started as early as August of this year.
The visual puts together spending habits as broken down by males and females, with some interesting figures to round it all out.
Holiday shoppers are expected to spend an average of $749.51 between gifts, decore, food and other items they’ll use to celebrate. Of that average, males take the cake with an average of $775.78, over $51 more than the average spend of females.
Additionally, some shoppers may even be starting their holiday shopping tasks before September. The breakdown of when males and females start their holiday shopping skews towards women getting a significant headstart (over 50% started their shopping before November) on their duties. Almost 25% of men waited until the last 4 weeks of December to start their holiday shopping, 10% higher than women who decide to start shopping in the same last-minute time frame.
