Compared with breast cancer, it kills more than three times more people every year. The danger of lung cancer isnt just the cancer itself; recognizing symptoms and determining treatment plans are extremely tricky. Doctors use standard guidelines to suggest the best course of treatment but there are several problems. These guidelines are based on limited data and use stage of cancer for reference but these standards don’t show the whole picture. A solution to this is taking into account stage of cancer as well as CCP, cell cycle progression. myPlan Lung Cancer is a test based on CCP genes that measure how fast lunch cancer cells are replicating. Cell proliferation is a huge part of cancer progression and means a great deal when determining treatment. Two cancer patients in the same stage of lung cancer, for example, may have entirely different estimates of mortality risks, and therefore, have different treatment options.
