The “Internet of Things” has been gaining considerable traction through the past few years as technology shifts to the cloud. As a result, we’re starting to see more physical and real-world technologies used with their virtual counterparts, in an effort to improve our lives and productivity – slowly shifting from the Internet of Things to the Internet of Everything.

IoT for 2014 started off with a bang, as CES this year was dominated by a market of wearable and connected devices, and in late March, virtual reality company Oculus was acquired by social media giant Facebook with the goal of connecting people to the virtual world in new ways.
