Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 0 As hard as it can be, you can love your beauty even with an imperfect body. I learned to love my own beauty even with scars covering 75% of my body. We are all imperfect – there is no perfect body out there. How do I know that? Because even when the media takes pictures of the most beautiful women, they still Photoshop the pictures to make them look even more perfect!! Have you ever seen in the magazines how the photographers try to capture pictures of the movie stars before they’re made up to look like superstars? I don’t know about you, but I was shocked when I first saw those pictures. I couldn’t believe that the movie stars didn’t look like that in real life. I didn’t know they could make them look so different. So tell me, who do you want to be? Do you want to be a woman of natural beauty, or a made up one that people don’t recognize when they see her without make-up? Have you been told you are more beautiful with make up than you are without it? If so, I’m sorry. That must have been painful, but its probably also what led you to feel uncomfortable in your own skin. Its time to accept and to love your own beauty, both internal and external. I know who I want to be. I want to be me. I don’t want people to guess who I am. I don’t want people to wonder what I would look like with make-up on. I don’t care if people think I ‘need’ make-up in order to be beautiful. I just want to be me and I want people to love me looking the way I do, with or without scars, with or without make-up. Focus on your own opinion of you, not so much on what others think – chances are, they aren’t noticing your imperfections and they no doubt care more about themselves than what you look like. 3. Look in the mirror and pick out the little parts you love and say “I love…… about me.” (Don’t you dare focus on the parts you hate, focus on the parts you love).
