It might be too early to express any real optimism, but it’s hard not to celebrate January. According to Renaissance Capital, it was the second best month for the US IPO market since April 2009. The FTSE Renaissance US IPO Index gained 10.1 percent last month, outperforming the S&P 500 (up 4.4 percent) and the Russell 3000 (up 5 percent).
