How many Facebook Pages do you manage? Even if you own just one Facebook page besides your personal account, you have possibly run into this situation: You have wanted to comment on something not as the site manager but as yourself! Facebook has now made it a little easier to respond to posts as yourself – Have you noticed the little change?
Last week when I was on vacation with the family I saw the little icon at the top of the page. No I wasn’t supposed to be working, but really as a social media person, it’s a challenge to ignore the phone ringing, text messages or when I see something on Facebook. So the five letter word at the top of the page caught my attention. “Voice.”
Ever want to respond to a post on your business Facebook Wall as “yourself” and not as the business?
Previously Facebook Page Managers had to use the “Use Facebook as…” option in the Admin panel, or use the drop-down arrow next to “Home” to use the page as an Administrator. There were times though when I wanted to respond to something as myself, which was a challenge. This became an even bigger challenge for pages that I manage that have multiple Admins.
Now a user can simply click the “Change to …” option at the top of the page, to easily “Like”, post or comment on something in their own voice, instead of the voice of the Facebook Page being managed!
Easy Peasy.
