You can thank me later for all the free time you’ll have now that you’re no longer receiving those pesky My Birthday Calendar app requests on Facebook. Please note that you can block all applications on Facebook with the above method. I have 132 blocked applications to date. I can’t stand receiving Farmville, BranchOut or anything else. I did have a quick stint with Bejeweled but that was long ago when I had free time!

Although the My Birthday Calendar app is harmless, it’s important to remember that some apps on Facebook are mining for data. Be very careful about which apps you choose to use. Even if your friends choose to trust various applications, that doesn’t mean you need to do likewise. You have to remember that these applications are free for you to use and why would any company create free apps? It’s not for your pleasure and enjoyment, trust me! To see the apps that you’ve currently approved on your Facebook page, go to your App Settings Page. You’ll be amazed by how many you’ve allowed!
