More changes to Facebook!?!? Here we go again!
The one thing you can count on with Facebook is that it will change. From the layout of your Profile to how you get updates, Facebook is always tweaking its platform.
The latest change will change how the News Feed looks on a computer monitor – it will be bolder and bigger.
Facebook has been changing the appearance of the News Feed, including a new font (Helvetica for Mac Users and Arial for PC Users). Images will also appear bolder in the presentation. The left-hand column will be more simplified. These changes are cosmetic, giving more weight to visuals with a less cluttered feel.
The search bar at the top will also get larger and Graph Search will become much more prominent. This will allow users to search for information that their Friends like, i.e. “Friends who like Heating Companies” and “Friends who like Restaurants in Chicago.”
Before you get stressed about having something all new to learn, don’t worry. “You don’t need to relearn anything — that was one of our big themes,” explains Greg Marra, Facebook News Feed Product Manager.
The changes will make the News Feed on a computer screen appear more like their Mobile Apps.
“We recognize that while we strive for design consistency, part of that is recognizing that the way you use things on a PC is different from how you use things on your phone,” says Marra, “but it’s important that we cut these from the same cloth.”

What do you think – are you excited to see the changes, happy the News Feed will be less cluttered or are you worried about having to deal with yet another change on Facebook?
