WWE wrestler Kevin Nash was arrested in the early morning of Christmas Eve after a physical altercation with his 18-year-old son Tristan Nash. According to reports, Nash told police that his son came home in a drunken and belligerent state and began antagonizing him and his wife. Tristan then spat in his father’s face and elbowed him, prompting the elder Nash to tackle his son to the floor.

Tristan, though, told a different story to the authorities. According to his account, his father was berating him over his disapproval of his relationship with his girlfriend. It was then that he claims his father slammed him to the floor using the choke slam maneuver, which also happens to be one of his in-ring signature finishing moves.

When police arrived, Kevin Nash was arrested as he was deemed to be the primary aggressor. Tristan himself was arrested just a short time later. According to the young man’s uncle, Tristan who stands at 6’5” and 200 lbs – but still smaller than his father – was the instigator. He was heavily intoxicated and also physically assaulted his mother.

Upon law enforcement’s arrival, Kevin had minor bruises and blood on his face. He was taken into custody. Tristan was not arrested at the scene. However, he was arrested for battery just two hours later after a second 911 call was placed amid reports that he attacked his mother.

Both men are currently being held in a Florida County jail without bond.

Towering at 6’7” with a billed weight of 328 lbs, the 55-year-old wrestler cemented his name and legacy as an imposing figure to be reckoned with. He made his professional debut in 1990 with the WCW organization before signing with WWE in 1993. His rose to fame, however, came when he returned to WCW in 1996 and formed the stable NWO, consisting of himself, Hulk Hogan, and Scott Hall. Despite being a heel (villain) group, the NWO quickly became a fan favorite and one of the most influential wrestling stables of the late-90s. It rivaled that of WWE’s Degeneration X, consisting of Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

News of Kevin Nash’s arrest is shocking news to the wrestling entertainment industry. While he is no longer active in the ring, he still has a “legends” contract with the WWE and makes occasional promotional and one-time appearances.
