Will Ferrell was filmed nailing a cheerleader in the face with a basketball at halftime of a basketball game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers. He was then dragged out of the arena by security.

This was, of course, all for a movie.

Ferrell was filming a scene for his new movie, Daddy’s Home. The incident unfolded at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans. The scene was set up where Ferrell was supposed to attempt a half court shot, but instead he hurled the ball at a cheerleader and knocked her to the ground.

It took almost no time for numerous videos of the incident to hit social media. Here is a look at the scene on Instagram:

Photos of the event also popped up immediately on Twitter:

If that wasn’t enough, the vide can also be seen from a different perspective on YouTube:

Needless to say, all of the different angled of the shot will take some surprise out of the moment in the film. The synopsis of Daddy’s Home states that “When a divorced guy’s ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc.”

Before Daddy’s Home comes out later this year, Will Ferrell can be seen alongside comedian Kevin Hart in the film Get Hard.

Aside from Will Ferrell and that unfortunate cheerleader, Daddy’s Home also stars Mark Wahlberg, who teamed up with Ferrell for The Other Guys in 2010, as well as Linda Cardellini and Hannibal Buress. This scene is not the only one that will take place inside the arena, as NOLA.com reported shooting will continue at Smoothie King arena for the next few days.
