We’ve got a brand new Walking Dead Season 5 trailer to hold you over until AMC’s beloved zombie drama returns on February 8, along with a new poster (seen above).

Without any further ado, here’s the Walking Dead Season 5 trailer, which teases what our not-so-merry band of survivors will be up to when the back eight episodes of the current season return next month. Some spoilers for the season thus far follow the video:

As of November 30th’s “Coda,” the Atlanta group is now firmly Beth-less, and are being pursued by Morgan, who has just discovered the church and Abraham’s map.

The new synopsis for Season 5’s back eight teases what the group might face next:

“After the tragic events of the mid-season finale – as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC – Rick Grimes’ band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left. Though they are still breathing, the line between Rick’s group and the dead is starting to blur. Could there be anything at this point that brings them back to life?”

In other Walking Dead news, Norman Reedus, who plays fan-favorite Daryl Dixon in the AMC show, turned 46 this week. We like to think he spent his birthday smoking cigarettes and scowling at people. In any case, happy belated birthday, Norman!
