Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 0 Orlando Bloom may return in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The movie debuts on July 2017. The actor, who recently played the role of the Elven prince Legolas in the Peter Jackson movie The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, had been dropping subtle hints that he might be coming return in the new installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. It seems that subtle hints are not the only thing he is dropping. Bloom recently spoke with IGN and confirmed that he is in talks with studio bosses to make his return possible. He also insists that nothing is set in stone as of this moment. Fans of the franchise thought that the next installment is a reboot. Bloom told the IGN staff that “Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son… I’m of course Davey Jones now, so I’m down at the bottom of the ocean. It might be kind of fun to do something where I’m rumbling round the bottom of the ocean, because I won’t look anything like me. [Gestures to face] Get all gnarly.“ Johnny Depp was already reported to reprise his role as the cunning, but quite comedic, Captain Jack Sparrow. If the character of Orlando Bloom were to return, then this may be more than just a reboot but an entirely new installment. Unfortunately, Keira Knightly had already said a long time ago that she was done with her character. The 4th installment of the franchise was a major box office hit but critics didn’t care much for the movie. Do you think Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales be a big hit with or without the return of Orlando Bloom?
