Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 1 Ruff Ryders fans all over were both surprised and pleased to hear a new DMX album titled ‘Redemption of the Beast’ would be coming out January 12, 2015. However it turns out that DMX has nothing to do with the album, and he doesn’t want you to hear it. Frequent DMX collaborator Swizz Beatz has claimed that ‘Redemption of the Beast’ isn’t the real deal, and there’s a different new DMX album coming. He posted an image on Instagram with the following caption. “I see a lot of people hitting me about this album!!! I can tell you 100% this is not the album X and I are working on!!!! (I feel like Timbo with the Aaliyah movie rite now) SMH !!!!!! #DontdisrespecttheDog We Got Fire coming.” X then re-uploaded the post onto his account. The new DMX album has been deemed fake by the rapper and his producer, but Seven Arts Entertainment’s Peter Hoffman says X fully cooperated on producing ‘Redemption of the Beast’. “Seven Arts is pleased to release the second album from the 52 masters acquired by Seven Arts from DMX and his producers in 2012. DMX and his team fully cooperated on the production of this album. Redemption Of The Beast was the second album planned for release with DMX in September of 2012, following the release of Undisputed. These new masters represent the best of this legendary artist and offer production by some of the best in the industry. All fans are invited to listen to the music, which is the real thing, the ‘rough and ready’ of DMX. The music and artistry speaks for itself.” Domenick Nati who works with DMX also stands by him, and claims X is disappointed that ‘Redemption of the Beast’ may be released without the rapper’s knowledge or consent. “I spoke to DMX today and he was unaware of the upcoming announcement of the “Redemption Of The Beast” album. When I read him the projected track list of songs to be released X said, ‘that’s all stolen music’. DMX and myself are highly disappointed that trust was broken and that these songs may be released and sold without X’s knowledge or consent. DMX and Swizz Beatz are working on an album together and fans should look to their official social media accounts for accurate information.” Whether or not the new DMX album isn’t an official DMX endorsed release, you’ll be able to check it out Tuesday, even though it seems X doesn’t want you to.
