Rapper Macklemore is expecting his first child with fiancée Tricia Davis. Macklemore announced the news via Twitter and YouTube on Saturday, Jan. 3. The sweet video shows the couple at an ultrasound visit.

The video starts off with the message: “Today the media speculated about some big news in our life. So we decided to share it with you ourselves…love Ben & Tricia.”

It’s also revealed the baby is due in May.

Macklemore, whose real names is Benjamin Haggerty, got engaged to Davis in January 2013. Davis is also his road manager.

“After 7 years…I asked,” he tweeted at the time. “The love of my life.”

Page Six reports the couple were seen spending New Year’s together in Las Vegas.

An onlooker said, “She was dancing and standing in the back, but not really with the crowd. If Macklemore wasn’t performing, he was right next to her, guarding her. You could see a baby bump!”

Besides Macklemore expecting his first child, fans will also hear new music from him. Billboard reports a new album is coming from Macklemore & Ryan Lewis later this year.

The soon-to-be new dad confirmed the news on Twitter.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ debut album, “The Heist”, was released in October 2012. The album had No. 1 hits “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us.” He also was featured in Fences’ song “Arrows” and performed with Ed Sheeran at the iHeartRadio Music Festival last September.

Recently the rapper caused a stir when he did a radio interview talking about white hip-hop stars.

He said, “This is not a culture that white people started. So I do believe, as much as I have honed my craft, as much as I have put in years of dedication into the music that I love, I do believe that I need to know my place, and that comes from me listening.”
