Lindsay Lohan leaving London for her old haunt in Los Angeles? Don’t count on it. The star moved to London, England nine months ago and has apparently found a new lease on life. She moved there to begin her career as an actress anew and has starred in David Mamet’s stage play “Speed-The-Plow”. Lohan began her run on London’s West End to jeers as she was said to have flubbed her lines and needed to be prompted in almost every scene.

During her time in Los Angeles, the troubled actress got into countless amounts of issues with the law. She was cited for drunk driving, theft and has had many other run-ins with the legal system. In effect, she moved to London in order to get away from all of the tabloid drama and her legal problems.

In a new interview, Lohan talked of taking her first vacation by herself. She revealed, “It was the first time I have ever just been on a vacation by myself. I just wandered about on my own! I turned off my phone. It was so extraordinarily freeing for me. Like another life.”

Lohan won’t leave London for Los Angeles anytime soon, she revealed. She said, “I won’t live in L.A. again, hell no. My friends tell me s**t when they come over I don’t want to hear. I don’t even know who got married and who got pregnant. You turn on the news in L.A. and it is all gossip about people. All the stuff that is going on in the world right now and this gossip is the news? I love the BBC. I haven’t heard myself mentioned on TV since I have been here. That has been really weird for me, and great.”

Lohan said that she was encouraged to take part in “Speed-The-Plow” by David Mamet and his pal Al Pacino. She said, “He said I know you are going to love this, it will be such a rush for you. He helped me get a routine; I like to meditate a bit before I go on to stage. He warned me the adrenaline you have after is tricky, it’s late and you want to do something. I have let myself go eat, and then I have gone home.”

She has become known here in the States for being a hot mess who doesn’t show up for anything on time, but that was something that she wanted to prove wrong during her time in London. She said, “One time I was sick with a bug, I had been vomiting all day, but no way was I going to miss a show. I was sitting there beforehand seeing spots in front of my eyes. I had a plan: if I felt sick on stage I was going to faint, play dead, pretend it was part of the script. Didn’t happen fortunately.”

Lindsay Lohan isn’t leaving London anytime soon and it appears that she and her career are that much better for that decision. What do you think?
