LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s reality television show on VH1 has been given the boot. The show, titled LeAnn & Eddie has been canceled after a mere eight episode run and it was only in its first season.

Rimes and Cibrian met on the set of their 2009 Lifetime movie Northern Lights – where they fell in love. She was married to Dean Sheremet at the time, while he was still married to Brandi Glanville. The duo grew closer, divorced their spouses and got married. Since, they were trying to showcase a different side of themselves on their reality show.

Rimes said of Cibrian previously, “The biggest global misconception would be that we’re not two people who are really in love with each other, that there are ulterior motives to our relationship. But people just don’t get it. Hopefully people will get a chance to see how we just click.”

The duo tried to keep viewers hanging on with the thought that Rimes and Cibrian would have children together, but apparently the network didn’t take the bait. People has confirmed the show’s cancellation after its eight episode run.

Rimes said to Cibrian with regard to having children, “She [the specialist] told me that my levels are on the lower side of normal and that we should not be waiting very much longer. Does that freak you out?”

After Cibrian questioned whether or not they are ready for children, she said, “I know we were not planning on having a child right now, but I also do not want to miss what possibly could be my only opportunity to have a child naturally.”

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian’s reality show has been canceled after airing a short first season of eight episodes. Did anyone not see that cancellation coming? What do you think? Were you an avid watcher of LeAnn & Eddie?
