Are you the type who loves movies that are so bad, they’re good? Then we just might have the golden chalice for you in the form of Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, the worst movie of all time, literally and literally.

The controversial actor’s 2014 faith-based film has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, has been absolutely lambasted by critics, and now has the dubious honor of worst film ever on IMDb. “How do you get to be worst film ever?” According to IMDb, to even appear in the Bottom 100 Titles, a film needs at least 1500 votes. Stealing Christmas is at the very bottom of the pile, meaning, after doing some quick math in my head, it’s gotten like eleventy billion downvotes.

As the Friendly Atheist points out, Kirk Cameron’s Stealing Christmas ranks lower than From Justin to Kelly (which is actually #23). There’s some perspective for you.

Distributed by Samuel Goldwyn films, Stealing Christmas tells the story of Kirk (played by … Kirk), who takes his brother-in-law “Christian” (played by the director, Darren Doane) on a tour where he explains why Christmas is still a Christian holiday.

A critical disaster, Cameron appealed to his fans on Facebook to “storm the gates of Rotten Tomatoes” and attempt to raise his flagging film by gaming the reviews (i.e., flooding it with positive ratings). This actually resulted in countless Internet users going to Rotten Tomatoes and downvoting Saving Christmas even more.

One silver lining, at least for Cameron and crew: The film, made on a budget of $500,000, earned $2.5 million in its two-week run. A sequel is almost certainly in the works (#jokingmaybe).
