Kate Hudson is dating “Dancing With The Stars” professional dancer Derek Hough following reports that she has broken off her engagement with Muse singer Matt Bellamy. Hudson and Bellamy share a three-year-old son named Bigham Hawn Bellamy. Just yesterday, the news broke that Hudson called off her engagement to Bellamy and now it’s being reported that she is dating Derek Hough.
Kate Hudson dating Derek Hough is now news because they have been long-time friends that have turned romantic. Days before her broken engagement news became official, the actress was spotted kissing Hough in the open and it didn’t appear that either of them cared who was watching.
Hudson’s rep released a statement saying, “Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents.”
A source close to Hudson said, “She says that Matt’s a really great guy, but they’re no longer together,” adding that their breakup wasn’t “anything big and emotional.”
Hudson, Bellamy and Hough all attended Goldie Hawn’s charity event recently, and Hudson and Hough were seen at Nice Guy Restaurant in Los Angeles as well. Some have said that the actress and pro dancer were making out, but others have yet to come forward and confirm the reports of a romance between the two.
Bellamy’s parents George and Marilyn divorced when he was younger and he’d reportedly said that he’d wished for a different future for his son with Hudson. Despite that, Bellamy was out and about in London last night following an evening at the Chiltern Firehouse.
If Kate Hudson is dating Derek Hough already, then she certainly does move quickly. He didn’t seem to want to wait to put himself out there, either. By some mere coincidence, Lindsay Lohan was also partying it up at the London hot spot. Let’s hope that he has enough sense to keep away from her drama at all costs!
