Twitter Facebook LinkedIn Flipboard 0 Justin Bieber is getting a Comedy Central Roast. The 20-year-old singer will be present for the special, set to tape on March 7th. A source at Comedy Central told Ryan Seacrest, “Justin has been asking us for years to roast him, so we kept telling him to create some more material and we’re thrilled he listened.” Today Bieber tweeted: “For years I have wanted Comedy Central to roast me. They said only if I provided them w/ more material so for a year now I have worked hard.” Bieber can take a joke. This weekend when “Saturday Night Live’s” Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong teased the “Boyfriend” singer with their spoof of his Calvin Klein ad, he wrote on Twitter, “Well played. LOL.” Recently he shared that he had wanted to be involved with the brand for some time. He told US Weekly, “I’ve wanted to be involved with Calvin Klein for a while now. Earlier this year, I put up a picture on Instagram of me in their boxer briefs with the #mycalvins tag, and people went crazy for it and it got their attention.” Bieber getting a Comedy Central roast is an easy choice. There are plenty of incidents for comedians to use. Over the years he’s been in the headlines for egging a neighbor’s house, carrying a monkey around Germany, and was arrested for drunk driving and drag racing. In 2013 Comedy Central gave James Franco a roast so this special should also be a hit. Other celebrities that have gotten their own roasts include Roseanne Barr, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump, Joan Rivers and Bob Saget. Justin Bieber sounds like he can’t wait for his Comedy Central Roast. He’s been tweeting positive messages.
