Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt called time on their marriage in 2005 following rumors that he was cheating on her with his Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Ten years later, the former couple are still the subject of tabloid speculation, but Aniston says that talk of her ex-husband isn’t painful despite what the tabloids may lead us all to believe.

Following her highly publicized split with Pitt, Aniston was reportedly dating Vince Vaughn, Paul Sculfor and John Mayer, but is currently engaged to The Leftovers actor Justin Theroux. Despite her relationship status since her divorce, the tabloids have always found a way to conjure up some faked drama in order to sell magazines.

Aniston talked about Pitt during her interview on CBS Sunday Morning, but dispelled all of the rumors surrounding her feelings toward the actor. When asked about the end of her marriage to Pitt in 2005, she said, “I don’t find it painful. I think it’s a narrative that follows you because it’s an interesting headline. It’s more of a media-driven topic.”

Aniston also revealed that on occasion, she does still communicate with Pitt. She said, “We’ve exchanged good wishes and all that sort of stuff to each other, but it’s not a constant thing. I mean, do you talk to your ex-wife?”

Since parting ways with Pitt, Aniston is happily engaged to Justin Theroux. Their relationship has also become tabloid fodder, but it’s not something that she focuses on. She revealed, “We know what our truth is. That’s all just static.”

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt have been divorced for ten years now, but their former marriage is still the topic of many tabloid reports. She doesn’t sound like she harbors any ill will toward Pitt or his wife Angelina Jolie. Perhaps the tabloid media should take note that she has moved on from Pitt a long time ago and let it go already? What do you think?
