There are a few well-talked about movies coming into theaters today, January 25th. Movie 43 which consists of twenty comedic shorts and has many famous actors staring in it including Hugh Jackman, Emma Stone, Kate Bosworth, Kate Winslet, Richard Gere, and many more. The film has gotten a lot of attention, and this could be because of the amount of famous people involved with the film, but it could also be because it is a different kind of film. There is not one central storyline, instead there are many, and the stories do not necessarily cross over. A lot of people don’t know what to make of this film. It could either be extremely successful, or it could be a flop. Only time will tell.

Another film that will be in theaters starting today will be Parker which stars Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez. Parker, played by Statham, is a thief who is double crossed and to get back at the people who left him for dead, he teams up with Leslie, played by Lopez, to steal from the target of Parker’s old crew. Jennifer Lopez has been talking about her role in the film because it is a different kind role for her.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will be premiering in theaters and is starring Jeremy Rener and Gemma Arterton. The film is about what happens after Hansel and Gretel defeated the witch when they were children. It takes place fifteen years later and the siblings are witch hunters. It almost a combination of Snow White and the Huntsman and Van Helsing. It is a very intersting twist to the classic fairy tale.

In addition to these three films, Happy People: A Year in the Taiga, Jone Dies at the End, Knife Fight, Noobz, Supporting Characters, The Taste of Money, and Yossi will be showing this weekend. If you don’t find these interesting, there are a lot of big titles coming out in Feburary, including Warm Bodies, Safe Haven, and A Good Day to Die Hard.
