Ian McShane has been added to the cast of Ray Donovan. He will appear in a season long arc during the show’s third season. The show has received multiple Golden Globe nominations, and airs on the Showtime network.

Ray Donovan has an outstanding ensemble cast that features film stars Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight as father and son. The show revolves around a family who has relocated from Boston to Los Angeles, led by Ray (Schreiber), who has unconventional ways of taking care of things that are not always legal.

The show is filled with action and family drama, and as season two ended, Ray was receiving trouble from the FBI, and trying to keep his personal and professional life together, which has not been working well. He is able to fix the problems of rich moguls, celebrities, and athletes, but when it comes to problems in the family, he has trouble connecting.

Ian McShane’s part on Ray Donovan will be a prominent movie producer and billionaire. He calls on Ray to perform one of his “fixes” that he does for the rich people that he becomes connected with, and following their encounter, the two become friends and form a powerful relationship.

The Showtime drama premiered in 2013, and has been received well in its first two seasons. It has been nominated or Golden Globes for Best Drama Series, Best Actor In A Drama Series (Liev Schreiber), and Best Supporting Actor In A Drama Series (Jon Voight).

Prior to his role in Ray Donovan, Ian McShane has been seen on TV in Deadwood, Kings, and The Pillars of The Earth, as well as several film roles, most recently John Wick.

Ian McShane is the latest star to appear on Ray Donovan with James Woods and Wendell Pierce both previously having roles on the show. Does his casting get you excited for Ray Donovan‘s third season?
