Gwyneth Paltrow has posted a selfie with Johnny Depp. The pair are co-stars in “Mortdecai”, which opens on January 23. Depp looks super cool in the black and white shot.
In the film, he portrays art dealer Charlie Mortecai who “hunts for a stolen painting that is said to hold a secret code that can lead to a Nazi gold stash. He must traverse the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.”
Paltrow’s selfie with Johnny Depp is one way to promote “Mortdecai”. She also graces the February issue of Marie Claire. In the interview Paltrow opens up on her relationship with ex-husband Chris Martin.
“We’ve worked really f*cking hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”
The Goop founder also talks about being an entrepreneur.
“I know what I want to do, and I’m going to do it. I don’t care so much about the men, but I wish that women were slightly more understanding of other women. A lot of women reporters try to pit me against other women doing entrepreneurial things. There’s room for everybody.
She also adds, “Women in 30 minutes can get more accomplished than men in two hours.”
On raising their children Apple and Moses, Paltrow says they are doing their best.
“I think we are all genuinely doing our best, it’s hard to have children and a career, and all some women seem to do is judge other women’s choices. I find that demoralizing and unhelpful. Where is the wisdom coming out of this situation? I don’t see where this is getting us anywhere in terms of a cultural discussion.”
Paltrow also shared a photo via Instagram of Marie Claire’s behind-the-scenes shoot.
Paltrow is going to have a busy month. She’s presenting at this Sunday’s “Golden Globes” and will appear on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live.”
Host Andy Cohen told E! News, “I am so excited for Gwyneth Paltrow in the clubhouse that I plan on drinking the most goop-tacular health drink I can find to toast her with!”
