Christina Ricci is starring in “The Lizzie Borden Chronicles.” The actress attended the TCA panel in Pasedena, Calif. on Friday, Jan. 9 to promote the Lifetime series. Ricci plays Lizzie Borden, a woman from Massachusetts who killed her stepmother and father in 1892.

She showed off her post-baby body after giving birth to her first child with husband James Heerdegen five months ago. Ricci posed happily wearing a black outfit with white floral designs. The Addams Family alum has stayed out of the public eye since their son’s birth. Doesn’t she look great?

The couple met on the set of the ABC show “Pan Am.” A year later Ricci and Heerdegen got married in New York. Heerdegen recently worked on “Birdman” as a dolly grip. Ricci is a secretive actress. When she was pregnant, she kept her belly under wraps until she was at least five months along. It was in May 2014 when she was seen photographed at LAX with a baby bump that broke the news.

Ricci filmed “The Lizzie Borden Chronicles” last October. The new, eight-part series premieres in April and is not as historically accurate. She first played Borden in “Lizzie Borden Took An Ax.”

US Weekly reports the 34-year-old new mom said of Borden, “I think she’s a really fun character to play. I mean, she’s out of her mind and a bad person and she likes to commit murder. So, I just go to a place where things are fun and dark.”

She also told, “I never expected to play her again, but she’s really fun in this interpretation. This version of her is actually a lot more satisfying. She has a sense of self-awareness. But at the same time, we do deal with the complexities and emotions behind what created this monster.”

Asked if viewers will find themselves rooting for Borden, director Stephan Kay said, “There’s an element where you don’t understand why you’re rooting for her, but you are. But in the same breath, you’re going, ‘Someone freaking stop her.””
